The creative process involved in jewelry-making is what brought Liva's designs to life many years ago, but the tale runs deeper - this is how Liva describes the prelude to her success....

[ "For the first time in 1988, I set foot on the tarmac of a Caribbean Island airport. The sun warmed my skin; the salt-water air filled my nostrils; the tropical breeze embraced me as it sifted through the palm tree fronds nearby and in the distance, I could hear the exciting tempo of Salsa playing as the carefree locals went about their business....I felt enlivened and overwhelmed by it all and since then, I've been obsessed with the exotic nature and beauty of Tropical Islands! It felt like 'home' - the friendly inviting locals, turquoise beaches, white powdered sands, sky-scraping palm trees, colorful flora, unique fauna and I was beside myself with the stunning varicolored gems that are fashioned into beautiful exotic jewelry! That experience will always be my first inspiration..... and Liva Gem Loft came to fruition as a result of the lingering memories of that experience - as well as creative energy, endless imagination and passion for wearing and designing jewelry.....
